I’ve recently made an Amazon.com purchase that I’m in love with so I had to share. I’m fully aware that most humans probably already have one, but to reiterate…I’m still learning.
My new Super Slicer! I’ve only used it once thus far, quite honestly because I forgot I finally got it, but it’s awesome. It has adjustable blades to not only slice but dice. I’m obsessed. I’m hoping to use it to make some baked apple chips, baked jicama and/or sweet potato chips. And just so this blog isn’t cut too short, I’ve included some recipes for such that I’ve found either on pinterest or in my research. If you don’t have some form of a super slicer, I highly suggest hopping on the bandwagon. Enjoy!

If anyone has any suggestions for dips or other healthy baked (super-slicible) treats, feel free to comment!
Baked Apple Chips: The Italian Dish Blog
“slice apples very thinly on a mandoline. Dust with a little brown sugar and cinnamon and bake very slowly in a low oven for two hours. Flip the slices once after an hour.” Can’t wait to try!
Jicama Chips: I’ve found that Jicama chips can burn quicker than you’d think so it’s best just to keep an eye on it if you’re unsure of the time (as I am)
Peel and slice jicama into thin slices. Spread out on top of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Coat chips with oil and a blend of your fav spices. Suggestions for spices include: chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Rosemary is a great addition as well.
Bake at 400° for 25-30 mins. Hopefully my next attempt is successful…and edible.
